…and thanks for stopping by. I thought I would introduce us; myself (Jo) and my boyfriend Chris. We’ll both be uploading our innermost thoughts and musings over the next phase of our lives which we hope is a very happy one. Welcome to our world x
Trying To Conceive
Chris and I started trying to conceive in December 2017. From the hundreds of warnings about using protection, it seemed that actually getting pregnant would be the easy part.
After all, it seems like no condom means baby!
Turns out, for us, it wasn’t quite that simple.
It was this struggle and the lack of consistent information that led us to create this blog. We don’t claim to be medical experts. Instead, we share the research that we’ve found, the experiences we’ve had and supporting studies that we can find.
Some of our most popular articles include:

We Managed To Conceive
In the 7th month of trying, we finally managed to achieve what was seeming to be the impossible.
This led to the creation of the ‘pregnancy diary’ feature. Each month I shared about some of the struggles I was facing, tips to look after yourself and progress pictures.
Our joy was to be short-lived, just 3 days before our 12 week scan, I miscarried.
I’m trying to remain positive, knowing that I can at least get pregnant now.
My biggest fear was a worry not being able to get pregnant, at least that has now passed.
For both Chris and I, the news was devastating. It is only from posting on my Instagram account that I learned just how common miscarriages are. 1 in 4 pregnant women suffer from them and numerous of my friends and family had suffered them in silence.
Aunts and grandmas were clumsily asking for children, not knowing or thinking about the months of angst they’d been suffering.
I hope that I will get a chance to add to the pregnancy diaries but for now, our favourite posts include:
Coping With A Miscarriage
This section of the blog is still in development and the wounds are still very fresh.
Nonetheless, I’m determined to post my struggle post-miscarriage. There is just mountains of meaningless advice, without personal experience.
I hope you enjoy reading!
